What I Ate

I love Detoxinista's feature on her blog called "What I Ate." I am going to try to replicate that feature today. I hope that is considered kosher.

Having the chance to see what people eat day by day is really helpful to me. It is the where the rubber meets the road whenever you are trying to change and eat better foods. At least it really helps me.

So, here it is.

Breakfast does not look appetizing in this photo. It was bad lighting and it turned out poorly--the photo, not the food. The food was great.

Breakfast was soft-boiled eggs with some butter and sour cream on top, and just a little bit of leftover steak from the night before. Sometimes a meal is just a mish mash. This was one of those.

Lunch was leftovers from the night before. I have finally learned to cook liver--that may not sound like a big deal but it was to me. The key is butter. Butter!! Bake it in butter and you may love liver too. I put it over cabbage salad form the night before and topped it all with sour cream. I have really been focusing on eating more fat. And one of my keys to getting good fat is great sour cream. It makes me feel good. How do you get good fats in?

This was dinner. I just happened to feel creative and energetic so I made a great recipe from The Iron You blog called Creamy Avocado Pesto Zoodles.  So, so yummy. I added lamb burgers with raw milk mozzarella to finish the plate. I love it when there is time to make food a feast for the eyes as well as the belly.

There you have it. What I ate one day this week. Lots of good fat in that list. How about you? Are you on a low carb, high fat journey? What does a day of food in your life look like? Share in the comments.
